What are two different p orbitals?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

there are 3 different p orbitals (they differ in orientation in space) \(p_x\) is along the x-axis \(p_y\) along the y-axis \(p_z\) along the z-axis |dw:1449797837986:dw|

OpenStudy (exceptionlearner):

I found the same ones. I got confused cause I kept running into things like P-P overlap Pi bond 2p orbitals N=2,3,4 Ł=1 Ms= +1/2, -1/2

OpenStudy (aaronq):

those terms are related to bonds in general, for example, p-p overlap is just a covalent bond, pi-bond is a double bond, etc.

OpenStudy (exceptionlearner):

Now I understand. Thanks
