What is 3,920,000,000,000 in scientific notation?
Please take a look at the following https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome-psyapi2&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8&q=scientific%20notation&oq=scientific%20notation&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.6936j0j7 for a refresher on what numbers in scientific notation look like. How many places to the left would you have to move the decimal point of the given number as a step on the way to writing it in scientific notation?
Okay, well first of all, you will want it to be 3.92 times 10 to the power of however many 0's you have, so count how many 0's you have after it, and then put 3.92 x 10 (to the power of your amount of 0's). If you number had been written with a decimal first, and then the 0's followed by the 392, then your powered number would be negative. :)
3.92 x 10^10 ?
