anyone in connexus? geometry? if you are please help me. will fan and medal
message me if you are in connexus and in geom.
Please post your question.
okay... whats the difference between SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, and HL. i'm doing this thing that connexus students would be able to help more but that's where i'm mainly stuck.
Those are all different geometric theorems. Do you know what they stand for?
side angle side? something like that.. but what does it look like?
@Ilovepurple42043 Im pretty sure you need to read Connections Academy's Honor Code: http://prntscr.com/9eqivw
im not trying to cheat im just asking for help on understanding an assignment more. @KendrickLamar2014
Im not pointing fingers, im just clearing it out.
i just wanted to make sure you knew :) anyway can you help me understand the differences @Whitemonsterbunny17
Seems as if all is good here. First, we must know what all the abbreviations stand for. Then we can find the differences.
okay and will you tell me or should i search them myself?
Well, you had the first one right, so the other ones should be pretty easy, aside from HL.
Take some guesses. (:
okay.. sss would be side side side?? asa would be angle side angle? and aas would angle angle side.. no idea about hl
Wrong one. Whoops. Well, an incomplete one. Try this one.
is it bad the first link u sent made no since lol.. havent looked at the second one yet
The second link is very helpful. (:
They are both correct. The first chart did not include all the possible triangle congruences. It would be good if you could post a specific problem and see which one of the triangle congruences apply.
You have learned five ways to prove that triangles are congruent: SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, and HL. You are going to model these theorems with string and a protractor. This activity is found on pages 1-4 of the lesson. You will need to submit the following: the steps that you would follow to recreate a triangle using a protractor, a string, and the AAS Congruence Theorem, written in your own words At the end of the lesson you will need to submit the following: a chart summarizing all of the postulates and theorems that can be used to prove two triangles congruent the answers to six questions about recreating a triangle using a protractor, string, and the SSS, SAS, and ASA Congruence Postulates three drawings of recreated triangles, with the string used to create the drawings taped to the appropriate drawing a description of the steps that you would follow to recreate a triangle using a protractor, a string, and the AAS Congruence Theorem, written in your own words this is the assignment.. i dont want u to do it just help me figure out how to
i've tried looking at the lessons and i just don't really get it. i feel like you can help me understand more
This helped me when I had trouble learning this: https://www.khanacademy.org/math/geometry/congruence/triangle-congruence/v/other-triangle-congruence-postulates
thank you @KendrickLamar2014
