How do you factor trinomials in the form ax^2 + bx + c ?
Hi welcome to openstudy :-) For example we can have something like x^2+2x+1 ax^2+bx+c To factor it we would use this: |dw:1450387520774:dw| |dw:1450387407567:dw| Ask yourself, What numbers can we multiply by 1 get 1 but add to make 2? we see that 1 * 1=1 1+1=2 so it works and we would get an answer of (x+1)(x+1)
Thank You!
yw ^_^ Do you understand? Would you like to practice one?
Sure :-)
Ok try this x^2+4x+2
Ummm... (x+2)(x+4)?
i gave u one that doesnt factor ok x^2+10x+16
Okay cool
Make sure you show me your work so i can guide you through and correct any mistakes
Okay. So |dw:1450388235785:dw||dw:1450388299582:dw| So (x+8)(x+2)?
Yes! That's perfect! Well done :')
awesome! Thank You soooooooo much!

I will! Thanks again!
