I don't understand what the difference of squares is, what is it, and why and when do you use it?

Here's an example \[\huge~\rm~\bf~x^2-25\] Basically what we want to do is square root it so we get a solution that looks like this (a+b)(a-b) <---in this form \[\huge~\rm~\bf~\sqrt{x^2}-\sqrt{25}\] When you square root this you get (x+5)(x-5) To check if you have done it right simply foil the answer
