How do I Find the lateral area of the square pyramid? And how do i find these? Find the surface area of the cone. Use 3.14 for pi. Find the volume of the cylinder. Use 3.14 for pi. I'll put pictures of them for examples. and no worries, i already did them so no cheating! i think? I'm terrible at math and i don't understand ANY OF THIS! help..?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

The lateral area of the square pyramis is the area of the 4 triangles Area of 1 triangle = 1/2 * base * height = 1/2 * 8 * 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooh. so it would be 88, right?

OpenStudy (jchick):

A=πr(r+√[h^2+r^2])

OpenStudy (welshfella):

88 m^2 (88 square meters)

OpenStudy (jchick):

That would be correct @welshfella

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay! thanks! ^-^ people make it sound harder than it should be...this really helped!

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- oops That is the area of onle one triangular side of the pyramid the whole lateral araea = 4 * 88 m^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be....352 m^2?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah, okay! could you help me with the others? if not i understand.

OpenStudy (jchick):

Oh I didn't actually see that sorry. I checked but missed that part.
