Atsie (atsie):

Could someone check my answer, I'm a bit confused. (look at the rest of the comments for info)

Atsie (atsie):

Atsie (atsie):

Irrational numbers are numbers that cannot be expressed as terminating or repeating decimals or are in the form of a/b and a and b are integers. And rational numbers can be expressed as decimals and that can terminate. Natural Numbers are seemingly in the form of 1, 2, 3, ....etc So wouldn't the option integers make more sense, or am I wrong? I'd so appreciate an explanation!! :)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

sqrt 22 cannot be wirtten in the form a/b and is irrational there are many square roots like this the simplest being sqrt 2

OpenStudy (welshfella):

try finding the square root of 22 on your calculator even if you used the most powerful computer in the world it would give you a string of decimal numbers as large as its storage capacity allowed. Like pi the number od decimals is infinite

Atsie (atsie):

So it'd probably be best to pick the first option then? Yikes, I just tried that. Totally crazy!

OpenStudy (welshfella):

irrational is the correct option

Atsie (atsie):

Alright, I understand. I was thinking integers for some reason, but it don't make sense now that I examine it.

Atsie (atsie):

Thank you :)) I appreciate it!

OpenStudy (welshfella):
