Atsie (atsie):

Can someone assist me? I'd so appreciate it! (attachment in comments)

Atsie (atsie):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what did u choose and why

Atsie (atsie):

I haven't choose anything yet. I don't know which way to order it first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One of the easiest methods to use is to write all the given numbers as decimals and compare them, arranging them in order. What do you get by using the aforementioned method?

Atsie (atsie):

Like, your saying I can put 16 as 1.6? @Hoslos

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. 16 is the same as 16.0 The 0.6 is already written as decimal. Use you calculator to find the decimal of 5/9 and sqrt(16/49).

Atsie (atsie):

When I square 5, I get 2.2. When I square 9, I get 3. When I square 16, I get 4. When I square 49, I get 7. Is all that right?

Atsie (atsie):

@Hoslos

Atsie (atsie):

@welshfella Could you maybe help out?

Atsie (atsie):

@malcolmmcswain

Atsie (atsie):

@Hero

Atsie (atsie):

Can someone please help me! I really would appreciate it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i

Atsie (atsie):

Please! By all means! Have you looked it over?

Atsie (atsie):

Guys! You can't just reply and then go offline on me. At least tell me you have to go. I'm trying to not be impatient, but I really need some help here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is my brother

Atsie (atsie):

Mmm, nice to meet both of ya. Brothers help people out, soooo how about helpin me? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k my sister comes here 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i might help

Atsie (atsie):

Okay. Great to know :) How about some help. I'd really appreciate it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i might help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go on

Atsie (atsie):

Listen, OpenStudy is a place where you come on and you help and assist others who are struggling with equations, problems, or whatever else is posted in various other forums. You can't just come on and say "well, I...miiiiiight help." Its rather rude and exasperating to the other users who sincerely need help. If you do not understand how OpenStudy works then read the code of conduct. It helps a lot! :) So, if you are willing to help me, have you by any chance at least had a look at the question I posted? Do you have explanations and understandings that would help guide me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is there Q

Atsie (atsie):

It talks about helping others in there and what to do and what not to do. You can see that of course. So are you going to help? If you aren't, just say so because this is essentially a waste of time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

! might

Atsie (atsie):

Well, I do believe in being polite. So I'll thank you for being exasperating. Have a good day! :)

Atsie (atsie):

@emmynimmy Can you help a frustrated girl out?

Atsie (atsie):

@IrishBoy123 Or could you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (crabbyoldgamer):

the squareroot of 16/49 = 4/7 = .571 5/9 = .556 The second answer choice is correct.

Atsie (atsie):

@crabbyoldgamer Your heaven sent I think. Thank you so so much! :)) I really appreciate it!

OpenStudy (retireed):

Try finding the least common denominator for these two: 0.6 = 6/10 and 5/9 Looks like it is 90 so, 6/10 times 9/9 equals 54 / 90 and (5/9)*(10/10) = 50 / 90 so 54 is greater than 50 thus 0.6 > 5/9 (If I did the math right, I messed up the first time) Now repeat the process to the square root of (16/49) Sqrt(16/49) = 4/7 I'll go old school on this one and do my goes intos (pun intended) 7 goes into 4 zero times 7 goes into 40 five times with a remainder of 5 7 goes into 50 seven times with a remainder of 1 7 goes into 10 one time so 4/7 equals 0.571 in decimal form (a calculator can do this faster) okay now it should be obvious that 0.6 is greater than 0.571 Thus 0.6 is the largest number of the 3, but which is the next largest? Is the sqrt(16/49) which equals 4/7 (and 0.571), smaller or larger than 5/9? Can you find the answer, by doing the least common denominator (63) or by simply dividing 9 into 5 and comparing it to 0.571?
