Need help confirming: QUESTION BELOW :-)

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@zepdrix @misty1212

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so terms are normally arranged in order of powers. Highest power 1st dsecending to the constant term so arranging them in order it looks like \[6f^4-3f^3-2f^2 +9f\] now identify the 2nd term

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@campbell_st would it be -3f^3 then??

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

it would... well done

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

thank you

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@campbell_st what about this??? Simplify (x − 4)(x2+ 5x + 2). x3 + x2 − 18x − 8 x3 + x2 + 22x − 8 x3 + 9x2 − 18x − 8 x3 + 9x2 + 22x − 8

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well i think you need to distribute treat it as \[x(x^2 +5x+2) -4(x^2 + 5x + 2)\]

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

ok, then I would distribute again correct? @campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well distribute each set of brackets them collect like terms

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

I got A... anyone confirm>>>

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

A looks good

OpenStudy (aihberkhan):

It is better to keep it to one question per thread! Thank you! :) @iwanttogotostanford
