HELP ME!!! WILL MEDAL!!! PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ....

OpenStudy (ayeedomo):

Hi :)

OpenStudy (ilikestudying140898):

What is the 5th term of an arithmetic sequence if t2 = -5 and t6 = 7? 3 4 5 6

OpenStudy (ayeedomo):

Wow, okay I have no clue how to solve this...

OpenStudy (ilikestudying140898):

OKAAAYY........

OpenStudy (wilsondanielle):

an arithmetic sequence has a constant difference between terms. Subtract t2 from t6 to find the difference, then divide by the number of terms to find what the difference would be between t6 and t5

OpenStudy (ilikestudying140898):

ok

OpenStudy (ilikestudying140898):

then? how do we solve it..sorry its been a long time since I did the nth term :/

OpenStudy (ilikestudying140898):

and i am home schooled...lol

OpenStudy (wilsondanielle):

\[7--5 = 12\] \[12/(6-2) = 12/4 = 3\] therefore T5 will be 7-3 = 4

OpenStudy (ilikestudying140898):

thanks!! alot!!!

OpenStudy (ilikestudying140898):

your a life saver!! i got it right!! thank you @wilsondanielle

OpenStudy (wilsondanielle):
