OpenStudy (celinegirl):

can someone just check this answer real quick - I'm sure its A Determine the type of boundary line and shading for the graph of the inequality 4x + y > −6. Dashed line with shading on the side that includes the origin Solid line with shading on the side that does not include the origin Dashed line with shading on the side that does not include the origin Solid line with shading on the side that includes the origin

OpenStudy (boldjon):

The inequality sign does NOT have a line under it. So the line isn't solid, so it must be dashed. The origin is not in the solution set because if you plug in (0,0) you get -3x + y > 6 -3(0) + 0 > 6 0 + 0 > 6 0 > 6 Which is false. So that shows why (0,0) is not in the solution set. So the origin is not in the shaded region.

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

exactly.. but a friend told me this answer was 1000% correct so i said i would go with it but I'm not very good at math so i wasn't sure

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

so its C? @boldjon thats the first answer i came up with
