store A sells 5 bagels for $2.05. store B sells 3 bagels for $1.35. how do the unit rates compare? a=the bagels at store A $0.04 more expensive than the bagels at store B b=the bagels at store A $0.03 more expensive than the bagels at store B c=the bagels at store B $0.04 more expensive than the bagels at store A d=the bagels at store B $0.03 more expensive than the bagels at store A thanks :)

OpenStudy (decarr432):

Well you need to figure out how much a single bagel costs can you do that?

OpenStudy (flygirlmandi):

i knew i had to do that but the fact that there were diiferent numbers of bagels for different stores instead of them both being the same number threw me off

OpenStudy (albert0898):

First, organize the data. STORE A 5 Bagels = $2.05 STORE B 3 Bagels = $1.35 Second, find the unit price per bagel for each store. STORE A. 1 Bagel = .41 cents STORE B 1 Bagel = .45 cents We see that Store A is the cheaper option, saving us 4 cents. You can find the unit price by dividing the number of bagels from each side. The answer is

OpenStudy (albert0898):

(C)

OpenStudy (flygirlmandi):

and i found the unit rate by divideing, right ?

OpenStudy (flygirlmandi):

oh i read the rest...haha thanks !
