OpenStudy (marihelenh):

If the molar concentration of sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) is 0.10 M (molarity), what is the concentration of the sodium ion? a) 0.10 M b) 0.050 M c) 0.20 M d) 0.30 M e) 0.40 M

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

there are \( 2+1+4 = 7\) atoms in a molecule of sodium sulfate. how many of them are sodium? multiply the molari concentration by the number of sodium atoms per molecule to get the sodium ion concentration. this might have been better posted in the Chemistry forum.
