OpenStudy (benlindquist):

is that correct

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

7/100 = 30/n ?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I consider this question to be oddly worded. We're to answer this question: "7 is what percent of 30/" We can immediately write the proper fraction 7/30 and then convert that to a percentage. Would you do that, please? With your answer in mind, then we could try aggain to answer the question you've posted.

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

23.33333333

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I agree with that. Unfortunately, were you to take the equation from your screen shot and check it, n would not be 23.33. What did the original equation look like, before you moved any character?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Ben?

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

it was on paper

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

I'm trying to put it on pages

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Good. Type the equation in here as best you can.

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

7/30 x 100% = (7 x 100)/30 % = 700/30 % = 23.33%
