True or false? The governor is elected by the people of his state with the legislature's approval.

jabez177 (jabez177):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I'm not too sure. It could go either way. Here is an excerpt from my lesson: (And why I'm torn.) Each state varies in government, yet most of these governments are similar. This similarity applies to the qualifications of the elected officials. The governor of the state is elected by the people in its general election. He must be a citizen of the United States. Most states require the governor to be thirty years of age, although some allow him to be twenty-five years of age. The candidate has to be a resident of the state for a certain number of years depending on state law.

It says that the governor is elected by the people, but nothing about the legislature. Do you see what I mean?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Yeah, I think it's True.
