Jinni opened a bank account. She deposited $87.60 into her account every month for 10 months. She used $25.60 every month to pay for music classes. After 10 months, she used 1 over 4 of the total money left in her account to go to a summer camp for musicians. What is the total amount of money Jinni spent to go to the summer camp? $64.00 $88.00 $155.00 $620.00
I think it is C
Why don't you add them up? Month 0: $0 Month 1: $0 + $87.60 - $25.60 = ?? Continue this for 10 months.
No one reported you for anything. You just didn't show your work.
well we gotta start from the beginning .. 87.60 x 10 = 876 .. 876 - (25.60 x 10) = 620 620 divided by 1/4 is 155 so she spent 155 at summer camp :D
everyone ALWAYS asks me "well what do I think it is and why"
she was asking for help she dosent need to show work @tkhunny besides thats not a reason to report
lol he left
hope my answer helped @Juliusmattos12 :D
@MysticFury You are absolutely incorrect. ALWAYS show YOUR work. No Excuses. It is the ONLY way to distinguish learners from cheaters. @Juliusmattos12 You can 100% avoid the question that you think is silly by simply showing your work up front. You will never be asked the question again if you follow this plan. Having said that, let's see you walk it through the 10 months.
Seriously, you were not reported for anything. I meant to hit the [Post] button with the message "well what do I think it is and why", but I managed to hit the [Warning] button, instead. Sorry about that. I think this is my 5th "Warning" error. You should still show your work.
A way I would do this is to take her monthly income, $87.60, and multiply it by the times she was paid. This would be 10. So she was paid $87.60 for 10 months. Multiply to find the total amount of money she made regardless of anything else. Now, during these ten months she also spent $25.60 a month on music classes. So you can multiply to find the total amount of money she spent on music classes during these 10 months. \[87.60*10 - 25.60 * 10\]
Yup. Everything except the Summer Camp expense.
You then get another value. Divide that by 0.25. Take that value and subtract it from the original value ^.
Sorry if I made it complicated.
You did great. Unfortunately, the OP forgot the real question and still wants to answer the total accumulation, rather than the Summer Camp expense. Dear OP: Read carefully.
