OpenStudy (anonymous):

Under which of the following sets of conditions would a chemical reaction most likely proceed at the fastest rate. 1.adding an enzyme to decrease the activation energy of the reaction. 2.adding an inhibitor to prevent enzymes from interfering with the reaction. 3. decreasing temperature to prevent products from becoming denatured 4.increasing pH to decrease the acidity of the reactants. I'm pretty sure it's D, because enzymes don't change anything about reaction rate, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, PH may or may not increase the reaction rate. However, adding an enzyme will speed up the reaction. ... So I believe it's A.

OpenStudy (gebooors):

Enzymes are catalyzators in nature making reactions happen faster
