Help plz! This is so tricky! I WILL FAN AND MEDAL!!!! Who is good at poems?!?!?! What does the line Neither wax nor wane contain? A. an allusion B. alliteration C. Personification D. Hyperbole If you don't know the answer, don't guess. This is very important to me.

OpenStudy (xofallenangelox):

The poem (First Stanza): Sorrow like a ceaseless rain Beats upon my heart. People twist and scream in pain, -- Dawn will find them again; This has neither wax or wane,

OpenStudy (xofallenangelox):

nor not or.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm.. Well, let's see. B. Alliteration is when letters at the beginning of each word repeat. For example: Alice ate an awesome apple. Then C. Personification is when an inanimate object is described as doing a human like thing. For Example: I could swear... the stars were dancing that night. and then we have D. Hyperbole. Basically something way over exaggerated. For example: He took like a million years to get out of the dentists office! None of those fit the line you described, so It has to be A. Allusion.

OpenStudy (xofallenangelox):

Thanks,hehe ^3^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) Yeah, no problem. Allusion: an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference. For example: "an allusion to Shakespeare" synonyms: reference to, mention of, suggestion of, hint to, intimation of, comment on, remark on

Much appreciated ^^
