OpenStudy (peterg2001):

Use the listing method to represent the following set. {x | x I, x ≥ 3} {..., 0, 1, 2, 3} {3, 4, 5, 6, ...} {4, 5, 6, 7, ...}

OpenStudy (peterg2001):

@wwhitlock

zepdrix (zepdrix):

I don't understand the middle part. Is that x an element of some set? Like integers? Like this maybe? \(\rm \{x|x\in\mathbb Z,~x\ge3\}\)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Anyway :) We're interested in numbers `greater than or equal to 3`. That's what our set will consist of.

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

This is getting to be too much like math for me. I've seen math and it looks just like this. I'd listen to zepdirx, if it were me.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

{x | x I, x ≥ 3} is difficult to read. Are you certain you've copied the original problem down correctly? What does that symbol after the 2nd 'x' represent?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

zepdrix' "We're interested in numbers greater than or equal to 3." is correct. Now, how would you represent these numbers in set notation, beginning with { and ending with }?
