Give an example of a predator-prey relationship within the above food web. Is the predator competing with other organisms for the same resource? If so, what organism(s) is/are the competition?

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

@tkhunny -- I have fixed my problems!

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Are fruits and vegetables "prey"?

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

I don't think so

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, then you'll have to pick some predator that is also prey. Just pick one.

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

The rabbit

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, pick the rabbit's predator.

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

Fox

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, now answer the question.

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

What does it men by competition....Which one is competing with the rabbit or fox

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Does anyone else east the rabbit?

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

Buzzard?? Maybe

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

?? Is there an arrow on your map?

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

What does that mean?????? There is an arrow going from the rabbit to the the buzzard and the fox

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

@Luigi0210

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

What I said, "Pick the rabbits predator", how did you correctly pick the fox?

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

Because the line goes from the rabbit to the fox and buzzard

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Well, then you drew it wrong. There is no rabbit --> buzzard arrow on the version I can see. If there should be, then you are right. The fox competes with the buzzard for rabbit dinner.

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

Sorry...must have forgot a line

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

There you go. Done, it would seem.

OpenStudy (darkbeautystar):

So my answer is the Buzzard would be competing
