OpenStudy (togundeji):

4. Find the circumcenter of ΔEFG with E(3, 6), F(3, 4), and G(7, 4). (1 point) (5, 5) (3, 6) (4, 6) (6, 4) I WILL GIVE A MEDAL TO THE BEST ANSWER!

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Its in the link below ^^

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

I made a graphic (and the posted link looks a lot better than mine). Anyway, the circumcenter would lie on the midpoint of the hypotenuse.

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Anyway the hypotenuse length = sq root (2^2 + 4^2) = sq root (4 + 16) = 4.472135955 Now how do we determine the "x,y" coordinates of that midpoint?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

It looks as if it is at point (5,4) but it would be better if that could be shown mathematically.

OpenStudy (togundeji):

Thank you! I have already got the answer, but I assume you'd still want you medal?

OpenStudy (togundeji):

For anyone that needs it: The answer is (5,5)
