jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

A chord is a line segment where both endpoints are on the circle Side note: a diameter is a special type of chord

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think D or B

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

which points are on the circle?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

on the edge of the circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

TSR

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

which segments use those points (and only those points) ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

to name a segment, you just need 2 points for example, SA is a segment but this is NOT a chord because point A is NOT on the edge of the circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH so it's D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes TS and RS are segments where their endpoints are both on the edge of the circle. So they are both chords.
