Nouns: Names, Places, Things or Ideas There are a common few types of nouns: 1. Common Nouns : basically to name general items (Ex: tv, camera, book, painting) Sentence: I am buying a TV. 2. Proper Nouns : basically to name SPECIFIC items (Ex: Sony tv, Canon Camera, The MazeRunner) Sentence: I am buying a SONY tv. 3. Abstract Nouns : basically anything that can be visiualized in your mind, NOT able to use your five senses. (Ex: Emotions) Sentence: I want to see some PEACE & HAPPINESS & JUSTICE in this world. 4. Concrete Nouns : Basically anything you can do USING your 5 senses. (Quick Reminder on your 5 senses: Touch, Smell, Taste, Hear, See) (Ex: Stars. Fire. Blood. Tears.) Sentence #1: I can see STARS (stars would be the nouns since you can SEE them) Sentence #2: I feel BLOOD dripping down my shoulder.
