Assignment check on Hamlet by William Shakespeare

OpenStudy (tinash):

I also need to add in Gertrude but have no clue what to say

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

First, describe to me who is 'Gertrude' and how does she/he have anything to do with Hamlet.

OpenStudy (tinash):

Hamlet is by William Shakespeare. There are two characters called Hamlet. One is the Old King Hamlet whom was killed by King Claudius and the other is Hamlet who is the son of Old King Hamlet and Gertrude. This is about Gertrude. http://www.shakespeare-online.com/plays/hamlet/gertrudecharacter.html

OpenStudy (tinash):

The last peoples that I have to talk about in this essay is Laertes , Hamlet , Rosencrantz and Guildenstern , King Claudius , Gertrude.

OpenStudy (tinash):

But I don't know whether to link in Polonius with Claudius saying that Claudius used Polonius as a way to help him with his plots etc. http://schoolworkhelper.net/polonius-character-analysis-hamlet/

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Oh, so you can just describe those characters and their relations with Hamlet, then their traits.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Want to start with Gertrude?

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

In the play, Hamlet isn't on good terms with Gertrude. She is described as shallow, and she only cared about her immoral pleasures.

OpenStudy (tinash):

Yeah but I have to interlink it with the question being asked besides I wrote about Hamlet , Claudius and Laertes as well as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. I just need to write it on Gertrude and do a conclusion

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Alright, than let me give you ideas.

OpenStudy (tinash):

Thanks :3 I was thinking of writing ''Even though Gertrude is an innocent bystander she is dragged into Claudius' devious plots of killing her son and Hamlet's long winded speeches whereas he describes her as a shallow mother who only cared about her immoral pleasures''.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Their are main characters that interact with Hamlet. Some are the characters are Gertrude, Laertes , Rosencrantz, Guildenstern , and King Claudius. As though we have covered on Lartes, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern, and King Claudius; we haven't touched on Gertrude. In the play, Hamlet isn't on good terms with Gertrude. She is described as shallow, and she only cared about her immoral pleasures. Gertrude is also a sexually driven woman, which turns Hamlet bitterly against her. As so this line states: "Ay, that incestuous, that adulterate beast, With witchcraft of his wit, with traitorous gifts,-- O wicked wit, and gifts that have the power So to seduce!--won to his shameful lust The will of my most seeming-virtuous queen. (I.V.42-5) "

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Thats just a runner up, so you can change anything you please, you know more than I! Make sure you cite the sources, because your teacher can tell where you get the information from, and this isn't COMMON sense. Now I may give you ideas about the conclusion.

OpenStudy (tinash):

Where did you get that from btw?

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

http://www.shakespeare-online.com/plays/hamlet/gertrudecharacter.html I just paraphrased it in my own understanding and what you have provided me with,.

OpenStudy (tinash):

thank you!

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

As you can see some characters don't really bond well with Hamlet, like (Enter the people Hamlet doesn't get along with), as to those he does favor! (Enter names).

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Then Just sum up the whole play, and give credit to sources.

OpenStudy (tinash):

Okay thank you!

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

You are most very welcome, tell me if you still wish for assistance.

OpenStudy (tinash):

Will do! :) Appreciate it

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

:)
