Proton NMR

OpenStudy (zale101):

Does anyone have an easy way or the quickest method to know the structure based on the NMR proton?

OpenStudy (zale101):

@Photon336 @hwyl @abb0t

OpenStudy (zale101):

@mayankdevnani !

OpenStudy (zale101):

Hello :)

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

Hi

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

Really no idea ! sorry

OpenStudy (zale101):

That's ok :D

OpenStudy (photon336):

@zale101 you count the number of peaks and subtract by 1 and that tells you how many distinct neighboring hydrogens are near that particular hydrogen. Take note at the chemical shift, this will tell you what type of protons these are, I.e a hint into their chemical environment.

OpenStudy (photon336):

I'll post a copy of an H NMR to show you

OpenStudy (hwyl):

DO YOU STILL NEED HELP?

OpenStudy (hwyl):

you can follow the N+1 rule but that only applies to non identical so you can't really use the reverse order -1.
