Which sentence uses commas correctly? A. Snow itself can be fun but, too much of it can be a hazard. B. We enjoy playing in the snow, and we also enjoy coming in afterwards for hot chocolate. C. A blizzard can knock down power lines, and, it can cause accidents. D. Freezing rain can turn to ice on roads and this icy coating can make driving dangerous.
it's either a or b
but i'm more to a though
I believe its C. A has a comma after a conjunction. "Comma before Conjunction-when there are two independent clauses in a sentence." Data_LG2
you sure? it had a comma after and / and a comma after lines for c
At first, I was going to go with A, because that seemed the most grammatically correct. Looking at this, (because the question was already asked I can do this) : http://openstudy.com/updates/5531054ee4b076e2e05a0e39 http://openstudy.com/updates/5356fc6ce4b037e31a1a2021 they explain it better than i do.
yeah she is right ^^^^ C
@Data_LG2 o_O lol @gabbyalicorn I don't agree with C...there isn't supposed to be a comma after "and". In fact, I've never heard of sentence with "and" including a comma in a sentence. xD A isn't correct because "but" should not end with a comma. D is out of the question. C would have been correct had it said, "A blizzard can knock down power lines, and it can cause accidents.". B is the correct answer. Indeed, as Data mentioned, there has to be a comma \(before\) the conjunction. Not before \(and\) after (as C implies).
Also I forgot to add that there aren't two conjunctions in C. xD
Also, if you guys will search up previous answers, make sure that the letters matches with answer. The answer that I mentioned from the previous question corresponds to your letter B. Just because I agreed with C, that doesn't mean that your answer will be C also.
