(Easy Medal :>) A 30ft copper wire is cut into 3 equal pieces. Each piece of copper is re-formed to make 3 complete circles. What is the circumference of each circle? What is the radius of each circle? Using Pi of course. What is the area of each circle? Using Pi.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need help with the last two xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the diameter of the circles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Woah I take it back I did the first one way wrong... o.O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Idk without the diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would the diameter not be 3? o.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or would it be 10? Since we've cut the wire 3 times..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's the circumference... but I'm thinking the diamete is 3 but I don't wanna be wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 and 360 is circumference of any circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay >.< So 10 is our diameter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. My radius would be 5 right? But then it's asking me to us pi -.- How?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I possibly dont know why lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I swear my teacher be doing way to much v.v I just want to do good in school!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

circumference = 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was right! :0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

radius = 5/pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area = 25/pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I divide them both? o.o was that it seriously?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! :)
