@Irrati0nal
Pronouns rename nouns. Nouns are a person, place, thing, or idea. So words like these are pronouns: "He" "Him" "She" "Her" "It" "They" "Them" "You"
Find the easy ones, then tell me which ones are still confusing.
i dont understand # 10, 11, 13,14, 15, 17,18, 20
Also things like these are pronouns: "Teacher" (renames Mrs. Doe) "President" (renames Barack Obama)
Some of those aren't even listed in your question... #10 and #11... Can you post each in a separate question so we can go through it in a more organized fashion?
Say, post question #10 in a new thread on its own. It will make things easier.
11 is there
i understand 10 it was a typo
Ah, okay. So #11 you're confused about, correct?
yes
So, if "he" and "him" are pronouns, another variation of this is also "his."
Therefore making "his" a pronoun.
Does that make sense?
i dont understand #11, 13,14, 15, 17,18, 20
yes
Okay, for #13... Nouns are people, places, things, or ideas. In this case, people. So, if a pronoun is renaming a noun, what word is renaming the people here?
Stunning victory for who? The pronoun answers this.
our
That's right.
12?
Okay, if you want me to go through each of them, please post each question by itself in a separate question.
i need #12, 15, 17,18, 20
Okay. Post #12 in a separate thread then, please.
12. The team is winning more games than the coach thought it would. 15. Who is the tennis player wearing the blue shorts and yellow shirt? 17. Since the others have arrived, anything can happen in the game. 18. I advise you to make an appointment to see your career counselor. 20. Both of my parents enjoy exotic foods.
Like I said, post each in separate threads, or new questions. I will go through each of them with you, but we have to work on them one at a time.
12. The team is winning more games than the coach thought it would.
That's not what I meant, but okay. Next one goes in a new question box, alright? Like I said above, pronouns rename nouns. Nouns are people, places, things, or ideas. "teacher" is a pronoun for "Mrs. Doe" "president" is a pronoun for "Barack Obama" So which word here is a title like the examples?
team or coach
Well, coach here is renaming the coach's name. Therefore it's a pronoun.
Make sense?
