OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

how do you write the answer for this question

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

OpenStudy (im_an_angel):

placebo effect

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

someone told me that, but I dont get how to answer it

OpenStudy (im_an_angel):

if someone believes something will work their brain will "see" results even though nothing is changing

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

do i just write placebo

OpenStudy (im_an_angel):

i would explain what it is a little bit. Kinda like what i said up there

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

I dont agree with the question so therefore i cant explain it, I do not get how its just vanishes

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

it makes no sense that sugar pills is gonna cure anything

OpenStudy (onepieceftw):

That's the placebo effect as previously stated. Say someone is faking an ailment, like a headache, doctor say "here's a headache pill, extremely effective!" Patient takes it thinking it's real medicine and they're convinced it works or they want to validate that they took a headache pill so their symptoms go away.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

ok that makes snese, so would you suggest I just sya that " its the placebo effect because they thought they were taking real medication"?

OpenStudy (im_an_angel):

sorry just saw this but @OnePieceFTW did a great job explaining

OpenStudy (triciaal):

don't say "placebo effect" describe it like the response above.
