There are two calculus classes at your school. Both classes have a class average of 75.5. The first class has a standard deviation of 10.2 and the second has a standard deviation of 22.5. How do the classes compare? Question 4 options: The first class' scores are closer together and the second's score are more spread out. The second class' scores are closer together and the first's score are more spread out. They are about the same. The second class has higher grades than the first.

I need to explain you what actually a standard deviation do? It will take little time so bear with me.
wait no i just need the answer no offence im taking a online class test
and its timed
I have already warned about giving answer so let me explain little bit. Standard deviation less means that the data/value are close together for example a data like 4,5,6,4,5 will have small standard deviation and data like 1, 3 , 0 , 4 ,2 will have large standard deviation than previous ones. So it will spread out if both the data have same means. In your question both has same mean but test marks different in both classes. In first most student get marks closer to mean and in second class several students marks vary. So it is spread all over it. Now which option matches my explanation. First one or second?
definitley b. man
standard deviation more means more data has been spread out , lesser means less data spread out. SO?
oh its a.
yes :)
