Are these correct?
Ticketing one has problem.
First one is right looking at the second one
Something represented as bigger will not divide, right? Adult ticket price are higher than kids so .
@Serenity74 so is the 2nd one correct?
No its not @AnitaS. Your first question answer is correct, for second think of something like this. Your height when you are small kid is 3 feet smaller than your current height. Prev = y. Current x so what is relation between x & y?
so is it 2.75x?
no when we multiply it means we are scaling it. Here we need to just shift it. Something like somebody mom is 15 years younger than his/her dad.
so then what would be my answer for the second one?
it is y = x + 2.75 , means dad ticket price is 2.75 more than kid ticket price
oh how did i not know that?
`a child ticket is 2.75 dollars less than an adult ticket` is equivalent to saying `an adult ticket is 2.75 dollars more than a child ticket` so if x is the cost of a child's ticket, then... (adult ticket price) = (child ticket price) + 2.75 (adult ticket price) = (x) + 2.75 (adult ticket price) = x + 2.75
Thats why I gave you mom and dad age difference example. It happens sometimes. Don't worry about that. If mom is 15 years younger than dad then ofcourse dad age should not equal to mom age * 15 which could be huge.
ok thank you
