You could use sine
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I know I can use sine I just don't know what to do about the square root!
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):

Opposite/hypotenuse, opposite/adjacent , and adjacent/hypotenuse
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
You can use a calculator and or break 170 down
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Its not a perfect square so it comes out as a lonnnnnnng number
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
Awh so yeah you can just use sine

If I use that I get 0.014 and so on
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So I don't think its the right answer :/
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
That's right, your probably in radians
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
multiply by 180degrees/pi radians
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):

We didn't learn anything like this :/ so I'm not sure if she wants us to do it like this :/
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
Well that's what you'd do to convert to degrees.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Well I don't know :/ .....I think I leave the square as is
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
You would take the inverse sine of (11/sqrt170) then make sure you're units are degrees
OpenStudy (anonymous):
wait I think I figured it out X= 58 degrees!

Approximately, yes, depending on if she wants you round to the nearest degree or what
OpenStudy (anonymous):
nearest degree
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
Then you got it!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
K thanks for the help ;) that was the last one I was stuck on I submitted it and got them all right! 20/20
OpenStudy (daniel.ohearn1):
