Pre-Calculus. Max/min http://prntscr.com/a2yng7

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I'll try doing it on my graphing calculator, but I got this wrong before so I'd like to check before I submit anything lol

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

*graphing calculator too small to show anything* = =; *reopens desmo*

geerky42 (geerky42):

25 mph is correct :)

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

O: IT IS?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Wha- I don't even remember how I got that. I should just redo it just to commit to memory haha

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Oh yeah... I got it off Wolfram because my idjit calculator can't show the graph properly = =;

geerky42 (geerky42):

hmm now i checked. It's little ambiguous. Because at s = 25, we have N(s) = 73.333... and we can't have 73 1/3 cars, right lol

geerky42 (geerky42):

So we can check for intersections of N(s) and N = 73

geerky42 (geerky42):

Since 73 is greatest whole number under 73.333...

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I got this: http://prntscr.com/a2yskj

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Yeah, I thought so too but it was the closest I got to an answer ; ;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kse s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soryyyyyyyyyy some thing i ssss wrong with my keyboaaaard

geerky42 (geerky42):

Zoom in intensively close to maximum point lol Did it for you: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/mzthdcikhz

geerky42 (geerky42):

Then you can check for intersections.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Uh I don't know what to do with this @ @ the graph is just sitting here in front of my face lol

geerky42 (geerky42):

You can click on line then gray dots will show up and then you can click on these dots to display point coordinates

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Ah, I see. These? http://prntscr.com/a2yuoo

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I'm guessing I find the midpoint of these guys? Lol

geerky42 (geerky42):

Ya, therefore answers are 22.722 and 27.506 I think you should put both as answer. This part is ambiguous.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Oh but... it says only one #, not "separate answers by commas" which it usually says for questions with more than one answer

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

http://prntscr.com/a2yve4 So I'm not really sure o-o

geerky42 (geerky42):

Yeah, again this part is ambiguous. In that case, I would go with 25 lol.

geerky42 (geerky42):

I believe 22.722 and 27.506 are correct answer, but i guess writer of this question didn't double-check or something lol.

geerky42 (geerky42):

So what you got?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Ah, my mother is nagging and using savage curse words at me :')

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I think I'll stick with 25 first, check what it says :p

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

O: IT WAS RIGHT

geerky42 (geerky42):

lol ok

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

That's really odd. I don't get the logic behind this either. o_O

geerky42 (geerky42):

It's less than highest speed, so technically it is correct lol

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Oh, alright o:

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Thank you for your help ! ♥ ^-^

geerky42 (geerky42):

yeah math online homework sucks. I've seen many cases like this :/

geerky42 (geerky42):

No problem
