OpenStudy (anonymous):

help please

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

Okay so...do you know what a inequality is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

So for one what do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what the answers

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Okay, do you know how to solve for p for the first one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im confuse

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Okay, let's say you want to check answer choice A for question number one. In order to solve for "p" first of all you would need to SUBTRACT 4 from BOTH SIDES! Which means you're left with 5p > 10. Your next step is to DIVIDE both sides by 5 which leaves you with p > 2. Now looking at your graph for question number 1, it has an OPEN circle, which means instead of an equals sign, you'll have < or >. You can also see that since the > is pointing in the GREATER than direction, it is telling you that p is GREATER than 2. Is that correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which answer choice is that also for question 1 or 2

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I told you in the very first sentence that I typed if you would read it..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok so the answer for Q1 is A

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I'm not telling you the answer is A. I am asking you based off of the information that I gave you, do you think it is A?
