Find the slope of the line. 4x+5y=−3 Write your answer in simplest form.
solve for "y", what do you get?
don't know this is all Greek to me
well.. begs the question why you're doing the exercise to begin with
im just hetting back into school and Ive been out for a few years and im rusty
I can help
well... I'd suggest you check your linear simplification section firstly
Help plz!!!
4x+5y=3 so first of all you have to get the y part alone so how would you get that 4x to go away?
can anyone here do it for you? yes will that "help" you? nope unless you simply want it done, and not understand it but it's just a simple case of linear simplification and if you haven't covered that yet, it doesn't have any point in giving you this exercise
Well let him/her try it but give them clues to what's going on people help me that way and I understand what is going on better
Leaving someone to do it by their self isn't going to do anything because they might not understand it
So how do you get rid of that 4x?
subtract it from both sides
Yes
So you will have?
5y=?
5y=-4x-3 because you subtracted 4x from the one side so it's gone and what you do to one side you have to do to the other so you have a -4x on the other side
