OpenStudy (darkmatter8):

Solve for p. i = prt p = i-rt p = i/(rt) p = (rt)/i will fan and medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you want to move the rt. So how might you do that?

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Divide both sides by rt so that p is by itself. :)

OpenStudy (darkmatter8):

i got this answer p = i/(rt)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Makes sense, i-rt = prt-rt doesn't work.

OpenStudy (darkmatter8):

so im wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You want to divide both sides by rt you were correct, So in full detail... \[i=prt\]\[\frac{i}{rt}=\frac{prt}{rt}\]\[\frac{i}{rt}=p\frac{rt}{rt}\] \[\frac{i}{rt}=p\cdot1\] \[p=\frac{i}{rt}\]
