Which type of cell division only occurs in organisms whose cells contain chromosomes? duplication meiosis mitosis replication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@demonic_bubbles This question is horribly worded. I will explain why. First, let's remove replication and duplication. These are not, strictly speaking, types of cell division, but instead describe the results of the types of cell division. Second, all cells* contain at least one chromosome (I do not include viruses as cells). In Eukaryotes the chromosome(s) is linear and in prokaryotes the chromosome(s) is circular. The types of reproduction are: binary fission (bacteria), mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis makes simple copies and meiosis results in cells with half the chromosome count and the mother cell. *Some cells, such as red blood cells in mammals, lack nuclei and therefore chromosomes. However, these cells do not replicate.
