I know this is a dumb question but can someone please help me? Find the area of a parallelogram if a base and corresponding altitude have the indicated lengths. Base x yards, altitude 3y feet.

OpenStudy (desmarie):

i think im wrong tho... DX

OpenStudy (desmarie):

so it would be the second option?

OpenStudy (phi):

Base x yards, altitude 3y feet. to show multiplication you can write it like this x*3*y people generally do not show the multiply sign if it's different letters /numbers also they usually put the number first (if there is one) you can change the order when multiplying (example: 2*3 is the same as 3*2) so x*3*y is also 3*x*y (alphabetical is good) and leaving out the multiply signs: 3xy
