OpenStudy (logan13):

In the figure, a ‖ b and m∠1 = 34°. What is m∠5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there a picture?

OpenStudy (logan13):

yes hold on

Well since a||b 1 and 5 are also and so are they congruent angles so I want to say 1 and 5 are equal in measure also so measure 5 or m<5 is 34* also. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is what I was going to say so what he said:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey dont steal my words

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If angle 1 is equal to 34 degrees, angle will be 34 too, because 1 and 3 are oppostite angles. And 3 and 5 are alternate interior angles, meaning they are alson equal so, angle 5 = 34. And finally , angle 5 and angle 7 are opposite angles so they are equal too, angle 7 = 34

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just following your footsteps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok sorry XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree with @silveralchemist09 because both angles are congurent and when that happens the angles have to the same because they are the same shape and size.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's fine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@logan13 do you understand?

OpenStudy (logan13):

so its 34

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, correct:)
