OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Let's first add up the total number of students surveyed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

total students surveyed = 230 @FortyTheRapper

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Alright, now lets look at the first two lines 90 students liked watching television 20 students liked watching television but do not like reading This is basically saying that 20 of those 90 students liked watching television, but not reading Any idea on how to find how many of those 90 liked watching television and reading?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

170/230 like both @FortyTheRapper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@FortyTheRapper can u help w/ world history

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

For that, using the first and third facts wouldn't work because that just shows that they only like that activity, it doesn't necessarily show they like both Since 90 like watching television and 20 like watching television but not reading, that means subtracting 90 and 20 will get you the number of students that like watching tv and reading

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait its about students who DON'T like either @FortyTheRapper
