OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

how can u tell a triangle is a median or altitude or perpendicular bisector?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Would you mind focusing on just one of those at a time: median, and then altitude, and then perpendicular bisector? Have you tried looking up "median of a triangle" on the 'Net?

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

yes i have but still confused

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

jhonyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!1

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes ?

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

help u r a legend!!!!1

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

i think will help you more easy understanding it than you drawing a triangle and these line inside the triangle the line what is median of ------ what is bisector of ------ what is altitude of ok. ?

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

okay

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

how you know that is a median ?

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

am i suppose to fill in the line?

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

idk i think thats what i am trying to find out rn

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Have you tried looking up "median of a triangle" on the 'Net? If so, please share what you learned from doing that.

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

oh okay

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

In geometry, a median of a triangle is a line segment joining a vertex to the midpoint of the opposing side. Every triangle has exactly three medians, one from each vertex, and they all intersect each other at the triangle's centroid.

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

u see that says u need 3 lines but i have this problem where is a median but it has one line
