OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Gregor Mendel crossbred pea plants for a variety of traits. What did he learn about dominant and recessive traits?

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

@Robin.Hood

OpenStudy (robin.hood):

Mendel found that paired pea traits were either dominant or recessive. When pure-bred parent plants were cross-bred, dominant traits were always seen in the progeny, whereas recessive traits were hidden until the first-generation (F1) hybrid plants were left to self-pollinate. Heres the link for more Info on him. He's pretty cool xD http://biotechlearn.org.nz/themes/mendel_and_inheritance/mendel_s_principles_of_inheritance

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Thanks! I have a few more questions. Can you help?

OpenStudy (robin.hood):

Yeah sure

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Okay. Here it is:

OpenStudy (robin.hood):

I could do this in person, but not on here, I don't know how I would complete it lol.. Do you know how to make punnet squares? I could try my best to guide you

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

I kind of do.

OpenStudy (robin.hood):

Okay All you have to do is make the two top squares dominant T T and the two left hand squares T t, Then you cross them to get new offspring.

OpenStudy (robin.hood):

Hopefully that's how you do it, it's been so long since i've done these. But I used to be pretty good at it.

You might have to ask your teacher for help
