The mean of a set of numbers is their average. You find the average of a set of numbers by adding them up and dividing by the number of numbers you have.
so what do i have to add up?
i'm guessing the x coordinates
ok
is the x-coordinates the dots?
yes like for the first dot the coordinate is (1,6) but the x coordinate is 6 while 1 is the y coordinate
so do i add that with the other dots or is that my answer
Here is a set of all the x coordinates (1,2,3,3,4,5,7,8)
The median is the middle value in a ranked set of numbers. The set of values of variable A is as follows: {1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8}
No add up 1+2+3+3+4+5+7+8 and then divide your answer by 8
