OpenStudy (prominer10000):

What kind of triangle is this? https://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1562000_1562500/1562261/1/05c078e289cd8cd47f48f9a9a414676fd3480818/MS_IMB-1401012-1100202.jpg I think a right triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not if it doesn't have a right (\(90^\circ\)) angle it isn't

OpenStudy (prominer10000):

An acute?

OpenStudy (dan815):

all the angles are equal so we call it an equilateral triangle

pooja195 (pooja195):

@dan815 that is when we have equal sides

pooja195 (pooja195):

We are talking about ANGLES here

OpenStudy (shae_boom):

if all angles are than 90 its acute one larger than 90 its obtuse

pooja195 (pooja195):

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @ProMiner10000 https://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1562000_1562500/1562262/1/75c9fd6b7e2e44aaf337a603a949f525aa8b6542/MS_IMB-1401012-1100203.jpg So this would be a right triangle? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Yes

OpenStudy (shae_boom):

if there is one angle 90 its a right triangle

pooja195 (pooja195):

You can use this to help :) |dw:1456541609281:dw|

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

This is an equalaterial triangle

pooja195 (pooja195):

No it's not.

Directrix (directrix):

The very first triangle is an equiangular triangle.

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Yes agree @Directrix

Directrix (directrix):

It could be tricky if there are options.

pooja195 (pooja195):

Agreed. It is not an equilateral because that is referring to the sides. I personally think acute. All angles are less than 90 degrees

OpenStudy (prominer10000):

@pooja195 is right but I'm sorry for not listing the choices, the three choices were obtuse, acute and right.

pooja195 (pooja195):

Right so you were correct about acute

pooja195 (pooja195):

Which is indeed correct.

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

https://en.m.wikibooks.org/wiki/Trigonometry/Angles_of_a_triangle_sum_to_180_Degrees But if it asked it would be too

Directrix (directrix):

If the triangle is equiangular, then it has to be acute. And, equiangular is a stronger statement. Again, I don't know if the OP's question has options. If he is choosing from among acute, right, and obtuse, then clearly it would be acute for the very first triangle.

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

That's the only way you would get 3 60 degree angles

pooja195 (pooja195):

A triangle is 180 degrees.

Directrix (directrix):

@ProMiner10000 Look in your text and tell us the instructions for these problems. Thanks.

pooja195 (pooja195):

@Directrix they already said that they forgot to add answer choices.

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Yes I get that 3 60 angles =180 degrees it's just there's no way you can have all the same angles without having same side lengths

pooja195 (pooja195):

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @ProMiner10000 @pooja195 is right but I'm sorry for not listing the choices, the three choices were obtuse, acute and right. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) The OP was right. Acute.

Directrix (directrix):
