OpenStudy (saeedd):

I really need help with

OpenStudy (saeedd):

I will give a medal

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Please post this in the English section so that you may get help

OpenStudy (saeedd):

ok

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

don't forget to close this one

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Not personification, since no thing is being compared as a human

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Not metaphor. Is there any figurative words in here or just information? So no..

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Same to simile. None like or as and figurative meaning.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

C, because repeated beginnings of a word is present.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Next time, post it into 'english.'

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Alliteration is NOT repetition of a word..

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

No it is the repeative of a word, IN THE BEGINING,

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Four Father Five is an example. F is sited 3 times

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

It is not alliteration. It is personification. They are saying that a nation was conceived, like a baby, then it is dedicated. A trait a nation cannot have, but a person can

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

No, that's an anaphore, sweetheart :) Alliteration is the repetition of a similar sounding letter or, better expressed, a tongue twister

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

How is it, nothing is being compared in a human way?

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

It's being compared to a baby

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

concieved, dedication, things a nation cannot have. These are things a person can have however

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

The quote uses language that would have been used to describe a person to describe a nation. This is the reason the best choice is personification.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

I don't see it being compared as a baby. However, maybe the nation.

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

We did this over in english though, I just wanted him to remember to close this question.

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

oh, that, it's the two meanings of conceived. So one, is something is created or thought up. The second is the conception of a baby, we say they are conceived.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Oh, and "Alliteration is the repetition of sounds at the beginnings of words: P eter P iper p icked a p eck of p ickled p eppers." So, I believe it could be C to B.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

@Jadeishere

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Though I see what you are coming from, I learned it differently.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

^ _^

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

It is still, in any case, not alliteration here.

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Good for you, you finally figured it out :) Like i said, kind of like a tongue twister. Now, let's stop blowing up this persons notifications

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

(Is he even on line. )
