Help! Will Medal! In this chapter, you learned about four types of money personalities. Review each of the four money personalities below. Which of the four student responses most matches your view of money? Select one of the four themes below. Write a paragraph with a minimum of five sentences describing why you identified with that theme.

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

Frustration: Many teens expressed negative emotions about money: anger, frustration, stress, distrust and even hatred. Role models: Teens are watching how their parents treat money. In several of the essays, the teens made a point to criticize how their parents handle money and vowed not to "be like them." Pragmatic: There was a minority voice that did approach the topic with a more pragmatic point of view and in some rarer cases, even positivity. Students shared their personal saving tips, budgeting experience and more. Money is not everything: A good percentage of the essays address a more universal truth: that money is not everything. Yes, it is needed to survive, but it is not a requirement in making people happy.

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

I would either write about Role models: Teens are watching how their parents treat money. In several of the essays, the teens made a point to criticize how their parents handle money and vowed not to "be like them." Or Money is not everything: A good percentage of the essays address a more universal truth: that money is not everything. Yes, it is needed to survive, but it is not a requirement in making people happy.

@Hayhayz I've been trying to do this all day haha please help cx

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

I don't know what to write like I need a starter sentence for just one of those topics.

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

Okay so first out of the two you selected which describes your view on money the most?

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

BTW you're in math section xD

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

I know cx I have it in the finance section but no one would answer and you use math in finance cx and I would probably have to say... Role models: Teens are watching how their parents treat money. In several of the essays, the teens made a point to criticize how their parents handle money and vowed not to "be like them." I like the other one but I feel like this would be easier to write about

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

So you are just talking about why you picked, in this case, Role models. You could say something like The role model personality matches my view of money because...

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

Thanks :)

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

I finished can you tell me if I did it right?

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

The role model personality matches my view of money because many children look at their parents for guidance. Everyone views financial practices differently, and what's an effective strategy for one parent might not work for another. I think parents should be open about financial situations with their teens. They should try taking a hands on approach. From little kids putting pennies in a piggy bank to teens learning how to shop on budgets and save. By allowing your child to take some control in their finances it will make them more confident when using money appropriately. Parents should emphasize the importance of earning money (also saving). Teens now-a-days are getting jobs and some even drive themselves so they learn the importance of money when they go to buy gas. It causes them to think should I go out and do this and have to spend a certain amount to fill up my tank again. Role Models (parents) have a huge effect on how teens, even children save and spend their money.

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

@Hayhayz

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

Yes sounds good! \(\huge\color{purple}{Good~job!}\)

OpenStudy (adrianna.gongora):

Thanks :)
