***Medal for best explanation guys!!! A husband and wife celebrate their birthdays on the same day of the month but in different months. Every year their birthdays fall on the same day of the week.If the husbands birthday is in march and the wife's birthday is later in the year, find the month of the wife's birthday?

OpenStudy (hannaha):

this isn't my homework question but I read this somewhere and nobody seems to be able to explain it

OpenStudy (hannaha):

Someone gave this answer but it doesn't make a ton of sense Well, let's assume March 1st is Sunday. April 1st is Wednesday, May 1st is Saturday, June 1st is Tuesday, July 1st is Thursday, August 1st is Friday, September 1st is Sunday. So, her birthday must be in September

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's because, since they share the same birthday but in different months then they have the same Day as well as date ...sorta. And from what that person said...there's only one other month with the same number and day. Therefore it WOULD be September because the the 1matches up and so does the Sunday part.

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

@HannahA here bday and his bday is on the same day but diferent months if his bday is in march on the first of sunday then in September it becomes the 1st of sunday that means her bday would be in September because they would both have the same day

OpenStudy (hannaha):

but we on't know WHAT day his bday is on

OpenStudy (hannaha):

How do you know it's sunday???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe the person before me looked at their calender lol

OpenStudy (hannaha):

Well from my calendar march 1st is tuesday and the only other month starting on tuesday is November

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

@HannahA it doesn't matter wheather its sunday or not march and September are perfect match up months so whether its on the 1st or the 25th or march it would still be the ist or 25th in in september

OpenStudy (hannaha):

That makes a little more sense :D

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

@HannahA glad to help

OpenStudy (hannaha):
