@Daniellelovee

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

same way we have been doing before :)

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Okay, I understand how we were doing it..but do you think you can show me how we did the last one..? That was very simple

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

they used like radicals which means that the numbers with the sqrt that are the same can be used the same way as saying 3x+4x=7x except it would change to something like 3sqrt4+4sqrt4=7sqrt4 makes sense?

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Oh..

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

so lets say that the qrts get crossed

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

except for the sqrt 5

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

what would we end up with?

MsBrains (ms-brains):

ookay

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Um..the only 5's are left? so 10..?

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

give me a second to give a step by step solution to make it easier

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Multiply the square roots first for each part

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

there you go :)

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

hope thats easier :)

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Ohh my gosh! That's so much easier!

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

no problem :)
