Trignometry probelm. Name three angles (not in the same quadrant)in with the sin is posistive
Well you know sin is positive in the 1st and 2nd quadrant. So any angle from those quadrants will produce a + sin. What you may not notice is that the y-axis will also produce a positive sin
This is where the 3 values come from
@sweetburger
so is that 0 to 180 i learned it in class is that right
well the 1st and 2nd quadrants would be (0,180)
at 90 or pi/2 is technically not in any quadrant and is actually just the positive y-axis
pick an angle greater than pi/2 but less than pi this will be your angle for the 2nd quadrant. pick an angle greater than 0 but less than pi/2 this is your angle for the 1st quadrant. Then pick pi/2 for your 3rd angle which produces a positive sin.
ok am i right about how that name three angle not all in the same quadreant which sine is negative? 190, 280,200
190, 280, and 200 would all produce a negative sin although 190 and 200 fall in the same quadrant
there a question that said that in general all angles between (blank) and (blank) have a sine value which is negative i put 180 through 360
@jdoe0001
@phi
yes you would be correct on that
ok my paper also says determine the measure of angles in uadrant 2 which would have the same sine value as 43 degrees.
