I need help !! both predicate nouns and predicate adjectives come after verbs? Which is the answer A linking. B helping. C action. D phrasal

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

They come after linking verbs. Sentences containing predicate adjectives usually goes like "The Abb0t guy looks kind of suspicious." "Looks" is the linking verb, and "suspicious" is the word (besides of) that comes afterward.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

As Kyan stated, they come after LINKING VERBS. Even though Lilac was breezing through the course, it was very difficult. Subject: Lilac. Lilac's action verb: breezing. Linking verb: was Predicate nominative:course ----------------------------------------------------- You understand? http://www.grammar-monster.com/glossary/linking_verbs.htm " They always link the subject to the predicate to re-identify or describe it." ----------------------------------------------- (Action verbs are quite different, they just show what the thing was doing, in a form of an action.)
